Laksiri Abeysekera

Laksiri Abeysekera is Director of Finance and Operations. He is responsible for financial planning and management, corporate treasury, accounting and reporting, budgeting and monitoring functions, and internal control systems for the Centre's global operations. Laksiri is also responsible for corporate services, which include travel, transport and procurement functions.

He advises the Director General and Board of Trustees on finances and matters relating to corporate services, and formulates financial and administrative strategies and policies for the Centre. He also manages the Centre's assets, assists in fundraising and coordinates relationships with internal and external auditors.

Laksiri has worked with the Centre since 1998. Prior to this he worked for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Sri Lanka. He has over 25 years experience in financial planning, management, budgeting, treasury, internal control systems and the reporting needs of development organizations and the donor community. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom.
